Jen:
Thanks for the note. We have changed the prices to remove the price range we spoke about on the post earlier. The shoes may still may be a little more expensive than the stores but this is consistent with what our customers have asked. Find us the shoes we want!!! This is the call we are responding to. We have also sent you an e-mail on this same topic to further explain and to further thank you for taking the time to write and for visiting stevemadden.com.
Happy Holidays and please send us a picture of yourself with the Sybels on so we can show all our readers how great you look in the shoes.
I bought the most beautiful pair of Steven boots last winter. They were about $300 dollars. The FIRST DAY I wore them out on the street the soles started to fall apart. They were pretty crappy quality- no traction, no grip, no rubber, just some slick cheap coated cardboard or something. I brought them back to the store to show the sales girl what happened and see if they would pay for repair and she shrugged my comments off. If you're going to charge $300 for a pair of boots you could AT LEAST up the quality. Good designs. TERRIBLE quality.

hey steve! i think what you've achieved is real cool. what i like even better are your shoes, designs and store designs.but what like best of all is the way you've grown by using the internet to work with your customers and potential customers. and continue to work with them through your blog. i think its great that you've become a personal shoe stylist and designer to your customers because of interaction with them over the internet. i used you as a case study at a pr conference here in india recently to let people know whats possible in the age of the internet. when power & control shift from the conventional media, corporations & brands to customers because the internet allows them to publish, interact & collaborate like never before. needless to say, you made a fascinating case study. keep up the good work. you're an inspiration to many of us who work with the internet!
